Job Title: Math Teacher
Job Classification: Part Time Hourly
Summary: The math teacher will teach Algebra Level 1 to the 8th grade class for the 2022-23 school year.
Reports to: 8th Grade Teacher
Supervisory Responsibilities: Only Students in care
Duties/responsibilities:
- Instructing upper grade/ class 8: 1 ½ hours per day; 4 days per week (includes prep and tracking)
- Write up progress assessment in Fall and Spring describing core content of the program provided and student percentage scores.
- Report to teacher when action was needed/taken with a student

Desired Skills/abilities:
Experience working with and supervising children. Experience teaching Algebra to middle school age children.

Ongoing self-development with focus on Waldorf approaches to child development, math games, other curriculum based activities.
Physical requirements:
The ability to lift 25lbs.
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
The ability to see and respond to emergency situations.
Time and wage, weeks/year:
- Student contact hours: 4 periods weekly
- An hour and a half per day includes 45 minute contact/teaching period and 45 minute preparation/grading assignments/tracking progress
- $25 / hr. for 6 hrs. / week = $150/wk
- 1 hour twice yearly for progress assessment (fall/spring)
