Job Title: After School Caregiver
Job Classification: Non-exempt, part-time, hourly
Summary:

Duties/responsibilities:
When required, duties in the program may include the following tasks:
Watch and observe children
Maintain a safe environment
Checking children in and out of program
Creating, and preparing age appropriate activities, and crafts
Preparing inside and/or outside area for snack
Maintaining healthy and appropriate rules and guidelines to keep children safe
Maintaining healthy communication with children, staff, parents and teachers
Attend weekly staff meetings
Wear appropriate clothing
Classroom sanitation
Assist in closing duties and/or completing closing duties
Maintaining appropriate ratios of children to caregiver
Maintaining safety of children, staff and families.

Grades Teacher for the 2024/25 School Year
Sierra Waldorf is seeking a grades teacher set to begin for the 2024/25 school year!
The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree and completed Waldorf teacher training.
Purpose and Scope of Job: The grades class teacher is responsible for planning the daily, weekly and block rhythms of the year. These plans are developed in accordance with the principles of Waldorf pedagogy and in light of the needs of the class. The grades class teacher is also responsible for deepening their understanding of Anthroposophy, child development, and seeking out new materials for their teaching. Teachers commit to faculty responsibilities, including participation in weekly faculty meetings, grades mentoring group, and committee service.

Job Title: Spanish Upper Grades Teacher
Job Classification: Part time hourly
Summary: The Upper Grades Spanish Specialty teacher leads and instructs individual classes at Sierra Waldorf School.
Reports to: Faculty and Specialty Mentor, specific Admin questions
Supervisory Responsibilities: only students under care.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Instructing upper grades classes 4-8th, 2-3 hours per class per week.
- Weekly mentoring with Lower Grades Spanish for program continuity
- Meeting weekly for 1 hour with Specialty mentoring group.
- 3 hours weekly for class preparation
- Faculty Meeting Participation 1 hour weekly.
- Yard Duty: 1 periods weekly
- 20 summer prep hours
- Training and membership Waldorf Spanish Teachers Association
- Write up a Year End report per class describing core content of the program provided and how it meets the child of that age/dev.cycle.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Summary: As the first point of contact for many day to day interactions, the Administrative Assistant must have a welcoming communication style and wrap their outstanding customer service in warmth. They are at the forefront of managing office communications and providing vital support to faculty, administration, parents, and students. Proficiency in Google applications, such as Gmail, Drive, and Docs, is a prerequisite for this role. Mastery of ParentSquare, our school communication platform and our FACTS database will be just as essential. Collaboration within the administrative team is crucial, and familiarity with our school, committees, governance structure, and tech platforms is highly valued. Candidates need to be able to manage children sent to the office for illness or disciplinary reasons, and must maintain strict confidentiality standards. Duties/responsibilities:
- Manage morning yard duty
- Reception – Answer Phones, relay messages, help students and parents with tardy and early dismissal
- Office management– including photocopying, data entry, supply ordering and tracking
- Help maintain and troubleshoot ParentSquare and FACTS
- Assist enrollment director with immunization files, cumm files, re-enrollment packets, tracking & follow-up with re-enrollment. August is an important month to have this support
- Assist admin side of licensing for early childhood
- Assist Administrator, Accountant, and Development Director when needed
- Manage and clean communal office space as needed
